Our November 01 meeting was a chance to pay tribute to Lou Albinati the Founder of the Highway to Mexico Project and celebrate the 100th vehicle that arrived in this the 18th year.
And one more favourite picture. This one was taken in Tepatitlan, the destination for the Fire Rescue Truck that Harry Sandhu and I drove to Mazatlan. This evening the Orchestra in the Bandstand were playing in honour of the Highway to Mexico and the vehicle we had brought. Harry Sandhu was joined by his wife Amar Sandhu and I’m sure I speak for all three of us when I say it was a wonderful and humbling experience. If you look closely you can see Rocking Horses in the bottom right side of the picture. These were commissioned by the Mayor to be brought out for the children during events such as the Thursday night Concerts.
Balloon sellers and a man selling ice cream reminded me of “Saturday in the Park”.
