Grande Prairie is known as ‘Rotary City’ and the 4 Rotary Clubs have taken a giant step towards making it even stronger. The Rotary Club of Grande Prairie, Swan City Rotary Club, Rotary Club of Grande Prairie After Five and Sunrise Rotary Club have recently signed a groundbreaking joint venture regarding the club’s lotteries. Rotary Dream Home Lottery, Swan City Rotary Club Lotteries (Cars for Christmas, Cash and Camping) Ribfest and the Scarecrow Festival will all share proceeds starting in 2023. Rotary has not seen an agreement like this before in the district and they are a rarity on a global level as well. The Joint Venture will allow the clubs to pool and disburse the proceeds of the lotteries throughout the city, region, country and internationally.
