Last Friday I missed taking a picture of a very important program running at the Grande Prairie Public Library. Below is a description of the program provided by our speaker, Library Director Deb Cryderman
Project: Full Stop, Fighting Period Poverty is the love project of two of our young librarians. The goal of the project is to provide free pads and tampons in all of GPPL’s washrooms. We recognize that not everyone can afford these products, so we wanted to break that barrier. We want to start a conversation about periods and normalize the experience for everyone. We’ve purchased a number of different books on topics such as sexual health, menstruation, menopause, endometriosis, and others for the library’s collection to help educate our patrons.
