Welcome To

Rotary Club of Grande Prairie

What is Rotary?

We are neighbors, friends, and community leaders who are creating positive,
lasting change in our communities and around the world. Our diverse occupations,
cultures, and experiences give us a unique perspective. Our shared passion for
service helps us accomplish remarkable feats. We encourage you to attend a meeting
and learn more about us.

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie

We tackle the tough challenges in our communities with the same spirit of determination. From giving young people the tools they need to resolve conflict peacefully to organizing health clinics for underserved women and children, Rotary members are helping to improve lives in our own neighborhoods.

A busy week for our club - not only did we have a casino but we also did the food bank drive. On top of that the BBQ Crew had flipped burgers and cooked hotdogs for all the participants and volunteers of the Food Bank Drive and today for the Terry Fox Run put on by the Swan City Rotary Club. We flipped about 750 hamburgers and hotdogs this week! Then on top of that a few Rotarians took the exchange students to Kakwa Falls on Saturday organized by Mark Marcotte from Swan City. Thanks to fellow rotarians Mark Woods and Bruce Tattrie for coming along so everyone had a ride in!
A huge shout out to all the Rotarians that participated in all events this week - I think there a a few that have their feet up this afternoon!.

Our Projects

Youth

Rotary believes in developing the next generation of leaders. Through our various programs for youth, young leaders learn to build leadership skills, expand education and learn the value of services and to get involved. Our hope is to build peace one young person at a time.

Local

Rotary members look for opportunities to improve our communities today and to invest in the next generation for tomorrow. With our professional experience and personal commitment, we collaborate with community leaders who want to work on projects that have a real, lasting impact on people’s lives.

International

Rotarians work together to meet the humanitarian needs of people across the globe, with a stronger focus on underprivileged children and families in developing countries. Our hope is to build peace and conflict prevention and resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, basic education and literacy, maternal and child health, and economic/community development.

Club Activity

Being active members in our community is the cornerstone of Rotary.

All are meetings are hybrid – we offer both in-person and zoom options.
